Energy efficiency program– Energy audit and implementation

Feasibility Study and Implementation

The Feasibility Studies grant helps companies conduct feasibility studies with a consulting engineering firm to assess different energy efficiency scenarios and greehouses gas (GHG) emissions. The Implementation of Energy Efficiency Measures grant helps companies implement the energy efficiency measures identified through feasibility studies.

Why conduct a feasibility study?

The study is carried out by an energy efficiency engineer. He will analyze your company’s facilities and energy data, then propose cost-effective solutions to reduce and optimize energy consumption and avoid GHGs.

Each detailed solution includes estimated savings, costs and possible grants, so you can make informed decisions when planning and implementing any of the proposed solutions.

Grant - Feasibility study

Covers up to 50% of study costs

Énergir financial assistance amounts to 50% of the cost of the study before taxes for a maximum amount of $50,000. 1

Grant - Implementation of energy efficiency measures

Receive up to $1/m³ of natural gas saved

Once an energy efficiency measure has been implemented, this Énergir's grant offers $1 per m3 of natural gas saved in the first year. The maximum grant amount is $1,000,000 per account number serviced by natural gas. Financial assistance is awarded according to the sector of activity and the return on investment period (ROI)1.

New: Up to $15,000 in energy tracking grants.

Conditions

Program subject to change without notice. For all the eligibility criteria of the program, see the Participant's Guide.

1. Conditions apply. Measures should be recommended either by a technical-economic feasibility study, or by a report or any other relevant document signed by a member in good standing of the l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec working for a registered firm.
2. Measures whose return on investment (ROI) period is less than one year are not eligible. Measures already covered by our energy efficiency programs should be separate from other energy saving measures, because they are not eligible. Program subject to change without notice. For all the eligibility criteria of the program, see the Participant's Guide.
