Dual energy involves replacing a heating system that runs solely on natural gas with one that runs on electricity 70% of the time. Natural gas takes over during periods of cold weather, when electricity demand is very high. This solution provides all the energy needed to heat the building, while reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
