Meter replacement
We need your cooperation to replace your natural gas meter due to an anomaly or as part of our periodic replacement program.
1. Anomaly
This free replacement will only take a few minutes, during which time Énergir will have to restart your appliances after the replacement. Under our Conditions of Service and Tariff, you are required to give us access to the said natural gas meter.

2. Periodic replacement program
This free replacement will take about an hour, during which time Énergir will have to temporarily interrupt your natural gas supply.
This meter comes under the scope of Measurement Canada’s mandatory periodic replacement program, which requires Énergir, in accordance with the Electricity and Gas Inspection Act, to replace it as soon as possible. Under the above-mentioned Act and our Conditions of Service and Tariff, you are required to give us access to the natural gas meter.
