Depending on the appliance you want to replace and the nature of your project, several energy efficiency programs are available, with generous grants. You may also be eligible for dual-energy heating. Energy efficiency and dual energy can be implemented separately or together, depending on your needs.
Dual energy
Dual energy uses electricity as the main energy source and switches to natural gas in very cold weather.1 The program is for our customers with a natural gas central heating system.
If your warm-air furnace is reaching the end of its life, you could replace it with a more efficient model and add a heat pump to convert your current system to dual energy. Dual energy is also available for natural gas boilers and rooftop units.
Grants cover up to 80% of the extra cost.2

The amounts and terms and conditions of grants are subject to change without notice. Under the Chauffez vert program, the grant can cover up to 80% of the extra cost of eligible projects. Under the EcoPerformance program, the grant may cover up to 80% of the extra cost of eligible projects, to a maximum of $250,000 per site.
