New Conditions of Service and Tariff
This year, Énergir submitted to the Régie an average rate increase of 1.15%, effective October 1, 2025.
The price of natural gas itself is excluded because it varies monthly based on supply and demand. It is billed at the same price that Énergir pays to producers.
This year’s projected increase is mainly due to higher storage costs and an increase of renewable natural gas.
The following natural gas consumption profiles are examples* that can help you estimate the potential impact on your annual bill.
Type of building | Annual natural gas consumption | Increase |
Recently built single-family home (160 m2) | 2.000 m3 | +0.8% | +$9/year |
Commercial Office | 11.000 m3 | +1.9% | +$82/year |
15- unit multi-residential | 15.000 m3 | +1.8% |+$114/year |
Institutional office | 76.000 m3 | +3.2% | +$749/year |
High school | 330.000 m3 | +4.7% | + $3.751/year |
