After the low observed in mid-March 2020, the current price of emission units on the secondary market has climbed back above the 2020 floor price. On September 14, 2020, the price of emission units on the secondary market stood at US$17.30, i.e. US$0.62 above the floor price of US$16.68. We should point out that the price of emission units is at approximately the same level as on the same date in 2019, sitting at US$17.28 on September 13, 2019.
The price of offset credits, on the other hand, has remained well below the price of emission units, representing potential savings of 10% to 25% compared to the price of emission units.
