Our Key Initiatives
Mobilization for Centraide
Every year for more than 25 years, Énergir and its employees have come together wholeheartedly in support of Centraide’s annual fundraising campaign.
Last spring’s campaign marked a record-breaking show of solidarity, raising more than $490,000 thanks to the dedication and engagement of Énergir teams. Supported by a network of 80 ambassadors, this collective effort was also driven by numerous internal fundraising activities organized throughout the company.
Beyond the funds raised, this contribution will have a tangible impact in communities by supporting vulnerable individuals and the organizations that assist them every day.
The Ruelle de l’avenir: Supporting Academic Persévérance
During Perseverance in School Week, held in February 2026, a corridor was inaugurated at the organization's office to highlight Énergir’s longstanding commitment to La Ruelle de l’Avenir.
Holiday Baskets: A Tradition of Solidarity at Énergir
Since 1983, Énergir teams have mobilized to support underprivileged families in the Centre-Sud and Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighborhoods by providing 300 food baskets each year. They take care of fundraising, food preparation, and delivery.
Sponsorship of École Baril
Located in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighborhood, École Baril has enjoyed a privileged partnership with Énergir for several years. A dedicated committee of employees organizes various activities to enrich the daily lives of the children, such as a Christmas party for the younger students and a career day for the older students. In addition, the committee ensures that any children in need receive occasional assistance throughout the year.
Volunteering, in Énergir's DNA
Volunteering is part of Énergir’s DNA. We give beyond donations: we invest and we commit ourselves. Volunteering is not only embedded in Énergir’s culture, but it is actively encouraged. Over the past year, nearly 1,900 volunteer hours were reported by our employees.
Atout Cœur: Encouraging and Supporting Employee Engagement
Through its Atout Cœur program, Énergir encourages employees who give back to their communities by making a donation to the organization with which they are involved

Our recent commitments:
- During the 2025-26 fiscal year, Énergir supported more than 200 organizations, including Soverdi, GRAME, the Sablon Foundation, Fillactive, Chez Doris, the Old Brewery Mission, the Breakfast Club of Canada, Les Petits Frères, and many others.
- Through its recent partnership with La Tablée des Chefs, Énergir reaffirms its support for the essential mission of fighting hunger and reducing food waste, notably through the food recovery program. To learn more (available in french only): Fenêtre sur... La Tablée des Chefs
